Sunday Morning Thoughts

Lately I've been learning the lesson of being content with what the Lord has provided for me. It's been hard, but once it is learned, the joy and contentment are priceless. For the first time in a long time I was truly happy in every sense of the word. The Lord lifted some of the heavy burdens and allowed me some time without them. Though it has not lasted long, I am thankful to the Lord for it. I know that I will continue to learn this lesson again and again until I go Home with Him, but each time I know that He will get me through it. In fact, He says so right here in Hebrews 13:5--

Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," (New American Standard Bible)

He has given me the desire to lead my drill team in a Bible study. I would like to cover this very subject with them, but I need wisdom. I don't know how to word things in a way that would grab their interest. But I trust that the Lord--using the gift of writing that He gave me--will guide me in this.

I am also going to use my real-life experience in this area in my NaNo story. The Lord has given me the experience for a reason, so why not share it in my writing?

Those are my Sunday morning thoughts! Now I think I'm going to go write down Hebrews 13:5 so I can memorize it this week. Then I'll grab a snack, my headphones, and my laptop and get some words down.

Blessings!
